South Africa clinch a seven-wicket win over Bangladesh but now face a nervous wait to see if they will qualify for the Women's T20 World Cup semi-finals.

South Africa climbed to the top of Group B with a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in Dubai. The Proteas restricted the Tigresses to 106 for three as Marizanne Kapp starred with the ball, taking a wicket and going for just 10 runs from her four overs.

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana won the toss and decided to bat first against South Africa at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. But the Tigresses made a sluggish start with the bat after Dilara Akter was caught behind off Marizanne Kapp from just the second ball of the innings.

Aiden Markram will replace Temba Bavuma as South Africa captain for the first test against Bangladesh later this month, Cricket South Africa said on Friday. Bavuma, 34, has been ruled out of the first test after scans revealed a left tricep muscle strain suffered in the One Day International series against Ireland in the United Arab Emirates last week.
