Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall has defended his players after boos echoed around the Emirates Stadium following their 2-1 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday.

Although the 40,000 plus home fans stood steadfastly by their team for 90 minutes, there is a growing sense of frustration around the club. Arsenal currently sit sixth in the Women’s Super League table, and lost their first Champions League group stage match in a midweek 5-2 thrashing by Bayern Munich.

But under Jonas Eidevall, Arsenal’s performances on the pitch look a long way from matching their momentum off of it. A 2-1 defeat to Chelsea leaves the Gunners with five points from their first four games.
