A proposal to remake downtown Salt Lake City would please the owner of the city’s NBA and NHL teams. But others, including classical musicians, aren’t so thrilled.

Authorities responded to a water main break in Salt Lake City on Saturday night. Salt Lake City police reported that they were called to the area of 1186 North Victoria Way late on Oct. 12 to block traffic while public utility crews worked to restore the water main.

SALT LAKE CITY — One man was left in critical condition after a car crash in downtown Salt Lake City late Friday night. Salt Lake City Police say the crash occurred around 11:45 p.m. in the area of 400 South State Street, where officers found two heavily damaged cars blocking the road. One of the drivers was transported in critical condition.
