Despite the fact that his state is still recovering from Hurricane Helene, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper was forced to use his time to debunk misinformation spread by Donald Trump Friday afternoon.

Trump and other Republicans have repeatedly spread falsehoods about Hurricane Helene relief efforts, blaming the Biden administration, Democrats and migrants for what they claim has been a botched emergency response to the deadly storm.

North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) slapped back at Donald Trump after the former president accused him without evidence of blocking hurricane relief aid in his state. Cooper took to X Friday afternoon to publicly respond to the former president's claim that he had colluded with the White House to stop relief funds and aid workers from reaching
