New York City Mayor Eric Adams is expected to name the city's next police commissioner as soon as next week, continuing to attempt to project stability in his embattled administration.

Federal agents seized materials from the home of new NYPD interim commissioner Tom Donlon on Friday, less than two weeks after New York City’s previous police commissioner resigned.

Mayor Eric Adams appointed Thomas Donlon as interim commissioner after his predecessor Edward Caban abruptly resigned from the post. Caban was one of several Adams administration officials who had had their phones seized by federal investigators amid multiple ongoing probes into the mayor’s campaign and city government.
